Low Slope Roof Materials

Torch Down Roofing

Many homes in Baltimore City and commercial buildings throughout the Baltimore Area have low slope or flat roofs. To qualify as low slope, a roof must rise that less than 3 vertical inches for every 12 horizontal inches. Even “flat” roofs have a gradual downward slope towards a drain. However, flat roofs must be more water resistant and load-bearing that shingle roofs. This requires roofing materials like granulated torch-down, TPO, PVC, or the likes.
